Group Coaching Program

We'll tackle the principles of Intuitive Eating, the history of diet culture and weight stigma, and how we're able to apply IE to our everyday lives with work, workouts, and relationships — both with our own selves and with others.

We'll discuss how gentle nutrition can be used throughout our day, and how we can use nutrition to help fuel our workouts (the power of macronutrients, why micronutrients matter, pre- and post-workout fueling).

We'll talk about body image, learning about body neutrality as well as body love and positivity. And we'll be able to do this all with the help of like-valued individuals who want coaching, support, and community. With the No Limits Coaching Group, we'll meet in-person across three months at Amp, and participants will gain access to an exclusive Facebook group and email availability with Leah for support in-between sessions and beyond.

Sessions are held select Sundays from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM PT at Amp Association (1708 19th St., Santa Monica, CA 90404). $99/month

Sports Nutrition 101

Leah Tsui, MS, RDN, LDN

Nutrition is an evolving science, and new studies can make it hard to keep up! I translate food, nutrition, and health into a digestible format, including topics such as sports nutrition, health, and wellness in the time of COVID-19, intuitive eating, and meal preparation on a budget. And when we are safe to be in-person again, one of my favorite ways to connect with clients is through cooking demos.

At this time, most of my engagements are virtual, meaning I present nationwide! I also serve the Los Angeles community in a limited in-person capacity, depending on your company's needs.

I believe in being a continuous learner and sharing this knowledge with others.

FAQs

Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach to health and wellness that helps you tune into your body signals, break the cycle of chronic dieting, and heal your relationship with food. Intuitive eating provides a self-care framework for eating that honors authentic health by improving the complex connection within our bodies to allow us to more accurately meet our body’s needs.

Intuitive eating is the philosophy I use when doing nutrition counseling. Intuitive eating fights back against diet culture, helps you listen to your own body’s intuition, and puts you on the path towards a healthy relationship with food and movement.

Apps and pre-made programs are great, but they are created to be universal. That means that personalization becomes standardized. With intuitive eating, personalization and who you are as an individual plays a significant role in getting the best outcomes. With Limitless Nutrition, you are sure to experience all the benefits intuitive eating offers with a plan tailored to you—not someone like you.

We typically see clients weekly or bi-weekly, depending on what’s most clinically appropriate at the time. The overall length of nutrition counseling will vary from person to person, with some people working with Limitless Nutrition for a few months, to others working with us for a couple years. As we dive into the work, we often find that the journey towards a peaceful relationship with food is an ongoing one.

It’s normal in our society to want to lose weight, and sometimes it feels like in order to be healthy, we have to be a “supposed” weight. But what I see with my clients is that they want to be their healthiest version, and that’s what we’ll be working together towards this goal. Weight loss could be an outcome, but I can’t guarantee any weight outcomes in our work together. You may lose weight, you may gain weight, you may stay the same. I focus on much more than this in our sessions around health.

Leah and I worked together to find actionable, easy ways to improve my protein intake and find snacks that worked in my schedule. I genuinely enjoyed talking about the evidence behind her recommendations. I found that despite knowing better, there were lots of areas to improve in my diet/nutrition schedule, and Leah was great about suggesting easy-to-implement changes. I genuinely wish I'd reached out as soon as I was getting back into the gym.

Leah listened with compassion and created a space to hold my anxiety and frustration while gently reminding me of my goals and progress. She knows not just nutrition, but people and the pain that many of us experience when finally confronting our eating disorder and really understanding what dismantling the self-imposed prison walls means. Throughout our sessions, Leah provided me with resources, exercises and thought-provoking questions coupled with a bit of tough-love when I needed it.

Getting the opportunity to work with Leah on my nutrition habits has been life-changing and very eye-opening. Leah has a way of working with you to fit your lifestyle and goals without making you feel stressed when creating new eating habits. Something that really stood out with Leah is her ability to listen. She takes the time to truly dive into what you're saying and also has a comforting way of approaching any negative feelings one may have about eating. In other words, she is compassionate through and through.

Leah worked within my own needs and desires, never shamed me for sometimes requiring quick fix solutions, and was focused on my health as a whole and not my weight. After working with Leah, I consistently meet my nutritional needs, have more steady energy levels, and experience less decision fatigue when it comes to food.

"I'm a physician and executive who spent the better part of his twenties as a trainee where fitness/nutrition was something I frequently talked about with patients but often felt I didn't have the time to listen to my own medical advice--or that I would once I was an Aattending. During the pandemic, I finally realized I had to do something to get back in shape and started attending an (outdoor) gym, which I loved! But after a few months realized I wasn't making the progress I wanted to and decided to finally tackle nutrition head-on and booked some time with Leah. I'm so glad I did!

Leah and I worked together to find actionable, easy ways to improve my protein intake (I was significantly undereating) and find snacks I could try that worked in my schedule. And I genuinely enjoyed talking about the evidence behind her recommendations and made a point to review more myself. I found that despite knowing better, there were lots of areas to improve in my diet/nutrition schedule, and Leah was great about suggesting easy-to-implement changes. I genuinely wish I'd reached out as soon as I was getting back into the gym.

I was shocked at how much better I'd feel when I was eating calories (and even macronutrients) to fit what I needed. Gone are the early afternoon hunger and grabbing whatever's around, and I not only feel like I'm able to be more consistent in the gym, but I also have more energy for whatever is coming up, whether it be telemedicine, another Zoom, or (most importantly) spending time with my wife.

I feel like Leah's nutrition advice would be useful for anyone in healthcare whether or not you have an active fitness routine -- it was wild how much better I felt after making just a few changes to what I ate!" - Jake

"I met Leah when I was at a breaking point in my life. My years-long relationship with controlling food had spiraled into bingeing and a feeling that I had utterly lost control and could not trust myself, my willpower or my thoughts. My response was to further restrict and make deals around food, only to fail and end in a shame cycle. I didn't know who I was anymore and felt powerless to end the constant fear and self-loathing I woke up to daily. I felt out of touch with my body. I was constantly exhausted from lack of sleep and over-exercising. My habits made me socially isolated from friends so I could control food and workouts.

I was referred to Leah by a friend and knew instantly that I wanted to work with her. She listened with compassion and was able to create a space to hold my anxiety and frustrations while gently reminding me of my goals and progress when I could not see it. Leah knows not just nutrition but people and the pain that many of us experience when finally confronting our ED and really understanding what dismantling the self-imposed prison walls means. Throughout our sessions, Leah provided me with resources, exercises, and thought-provoking questions coupled with a bit of tough love when I needed it.

I'm glad I kept coming back, being accountable, and doing the work. Today, I am a very different person. I still worry about food and second-guess myself, but I also embrace my friends opportunities to feed my soul through connection and am working on modifying what exercise means to me. I know there is no easy fix in recovery from ED, yet I know Leah is there when I panic. She has walked me through a few anxious episodes and helped me accept that progress is not linear. It's sometimes messy and imperfect.

In working with Leah, I was most surprised by how I began to incorporate her voice into my thoughts as I worked on incorporating new foods and experiences. Instead of the food police and inner critic shaming me, I heard Leah's calm voice asking me what I was afraid of and reminding me that there is no such thing as "bad" food. I had forgotten that making a fun food choice does not make me a bad person…and that was not only liberating for me, it began to reshape my relationship with food so that I make choices based on what I need and not arbitrary rules!" -Sally

"I reached out to Leah in early 2020 for support with trying to identify some of my food eczema triggers and to help me transition to a more plant-based diet. I wanted to be structured and thoughtful in my approach and really didn't have the knowledge or bandwidth to create a plan. Leah enthusiastically jumped in and structured a program to eliminate the highest probability triggers and then slowly reintroduce them to track symptoms. She found recipes that let me eat foods I love with more veggies while still avoiding things like dairy and eggs (not easy!). She also identified local meal delivery services that would meet my dietary needs on weeks when work was too busy for cooking.
Since working with Leah, I've noticed:

  • Clearer skin – I rarely have eczema breakouts now, and when I do, I can usually pinpoint the cause and eliminate it quickly.
  • Reduced inflammation – For years, I had chronic gum inflammation that has always confounded my dentists. After removing dairy, eggs, and most gluten from my diet, I have had two cleanings where they have found no issues.
  • Improved performance – As I switched to a mostly plant-based diet, I was concerned about how it would impact my workouts, but I've seen an increase in energy levels and faster recoveries on my new plan.

Leah brought an awareness beyond traditional macros and helped me recognize what foods made me feel good and what I needed to leave behind (or only occasionally indulge in). She is supportive and creative in her approach, helping to solve challenges when they arise and steer her clients to success. If you're looking to optimize your nutrition and overall health, work with Leah to achieve your goal." – Carolyne

"Getting the opportunity to work with Leah on my nutrition and eating habits has been life-changing and very eye-opening. Leah has a way of working with you to fit your lifestyle and goals without making you feel stressed or overwhelmed when creating new eating habits. Something that really stood out to me with Leah is her ability to listen. She takes the time to truly dive into what you are saying and also has a comforting way of approaching any negative feelings one may have about eating or how they eat. In other words, she is compassionate through and through. Leah isn't someone who is going to give you a caloric deficit or tell you to count macros; she is going to assess you, HEAR your goals & learn about your life. Then she will help you make adjustments to help you successfully obtain your goals in a sustainable way. Working with Leah is working for longevity and learning new sustainable habits. She isn't going to give you a quick fix that stops working in 4-6 weeks. She really cares about you and the work you're doing together, and I love that." — Ashley

"Before I began working with Leah, I was struggling with getting sufficient nutritional value throughout my day. I am a disabled, neurodivergent athlete and found that I had trouble coming up with snacks and meals that would satisfy me nutritionally but also work within my own physical and mental limitations. Leah helped me better understand my own nutritional needs in relation to my workouts and sustaining energy levels throughout the day and provided ideas and specific examples of foods that would work for me. Leah worked within my own needs and desires, never shamed me for sometimes requiring quick fix solutions, and was focused on my health as a whole and not my weight. After working with Leah, I consistently meet my nutritional needs, have more steady energy levels, and experience less decision fatigue when it comes to food." -Becca
